We organize two primary events: the Laboratory Automation Monthly Workshops (#LA_Study) and the Laboratory Automation Developers Conference (LADEC).
Automation in research is a growing global trend. However, knowledge and expertise are often dispersed across various regions, leaving developers to work in isolation and making it challenging for new entrants to access foundational information. Recently, automation has expanded beyond individual equipment or processes to the integration of complex workflows involving multiple devices, requiring a higher level of cross-disciplinary expertise and collaboration.
Our events aim to create a collaborative space where developers, engineers, and researchers leading in automation can gather beyond organizational boundaries. We hope to foster meaningful connections that accelerate development and inspire innovation among all participants.

Who Should Attend

  • Laboratory Automation Developers and Users: This includes those who develop custom automation tools or software and users of existing automation equipment, such as flow cytometers and liquid handlers, or those applying automation in areas like microfluidics, microscopy, image processing, LLMs, and AI.
  • Researchers and Students: Particularly those in life sciences, chemistry, materials science, or other fields interested in automation.
  • Business Professionals: In robotics, IT, life sciences, chemistry, and related fields.
  • R&D Experts: In technologies or equipment relevant to laboratory automation.
  • Support, Administrative, and Executive Personnel: From companies or organizations connected to the above areas.

We welcome participants from all backgrounds, roles, and affiliations who are interested in automation — whether human, robotic, or AI-driven.
